Key Responsibilities: As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, your role is pivotal in supporting students facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing tailored support to students, promoting emotional well-being and resilience.
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and support staff to implement strategies that address individual needs.
  • Assisting in the development of therapeutic interventions and activities to enhance emotional regulation.
  • Building positive relationships with students, fostering trust and a sense of security.
  • Demonstrating resilience in the face of challenging situations, inspiring students to overcome obstacles.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
  • Resilience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or special education (desired but not essential).
