Job Title: SEND Primary Teacher

Location: Brighton and Hove

Salary: Paid to scale from day one

Contract: Monday – Friday 8.30-3.30 – Temp to perm (Term Time Only)

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver tailored lessons and interventions to meet the individual needs of SEND students.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and empowered to succeed.
Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to provide personalised support and accommodations for SEND students.
Collaborate with parents, guardians, and external agencies to develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and ensure a holistic approach to student development.
Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly to promote meaningful learning outcomes.
Stay abreast of best practices and developments in SEND education to continuously improve teaching practice.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with specialised training or experience in SEND education preferred.
Previous experience working with SEND students in a primary school setting.
Strong understanding of SEND legislation, policies, and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders.
