Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging science lessons that align with curriculum standards and foster curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Utilise a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology to create dynamic and interactive learning experiences.
  • Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments and demonstrations, promoting hands-on inquiry-based learning.
  • Assess student understanding through formative and summative assessments and provide timely feedback to support student growth.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel supported, valued, and motivated to learn.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and enhance the overall science curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • QTS
  • Proven experience teaching science at the secondary level, with a strong knowledge of biology, chemistry, and/or physics.
  • Familiarity with inquiry-based teaching methods and the integration of technology in science education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with developments in the field of science education.
