Our client, a dynamic and dedicated SEND school in Havant, is seeking a full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their hard-working team. This role involves working closely with students aged 11 to 16, providing the support and guidance they need to succeed academically and personally.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience working with SEMH students is essential.
  • DBS: Must have an active DBS on the update service.
  • Skills: Strong communication, patience, and a positive attitude are key to this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with SEMH difficulties in their educational journey.
  • Working alongside teachers to develop and implement individual learning plans.
  • Providing emotional and social support to students, helping them develop coping strategies.
  • Monitoring and reporting on student progress and behavior.
