Our client secondary school in Crawley is looking to appoint a confident and experienced Cover Supervisor to join their team starting in September 2024. This full-time role offers a daily rate of £110 and provides excellent experience for an aspiring teacher.

What is a Cover Supervisor? A Cover Supervisor is responsible for leading a class in the absence of the regular teacher. This includes managing the classroom, ensuring students stay on task with their work, and maintaining a positive learning environment. The role is crucial in supporting the school and ensuring continuity of education during teacher absences.

Responsibilities:

• Lead classes across various subjects and year groups
• Implement and deliver pre-planned lessons
• Maintain classroom discipline and manage student behavior
• Ensure students remain engaged and productive
• Support the school in achieving its educational objectives

Requirements:

• Previous UK school-based experience
• Confidence in leading a class
• Full enhanced DBS on the update service
• Up-to-date safeguarding training
