Salary: Competitive rates starting at MPS (Main Pay Scale) from day one of assignment
Required Qualifications: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) essential
Enhanced DBS: Must have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
Safeguarding Training: Up to date safeguarding training required

Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join our dynamic faculty from September 2024. As a Geography Teacher at our school, you will have the opportunity to ignite a passion for geography in students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This full-time role offers the chance to be part of a collaborative team committed to nurturing the next generation of geographers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging Geography lessons that foster curiosity and critical thinking, catering to students at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Incorporate fieldwork and practical investigations to deepen students’ understanding of global issues.
  • Create a supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to explore diverse geographical landscapes and cultures.
  • Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Geography curriculum and facilitate cross-curricular connections.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance on the Update Service.
  • Up to date safeguarding training.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Geography education.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
