Salary: MPS/UPS (Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale)

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Religious Studies to join our vibrant secondary school community in Crawley. This full-time role, starting in September 2024, is an approximately 1-year contract and offers a competitive salary on the MPS/UPS scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Develop and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes respect and understanding of different religious perspectives
  • Participate in school events, parent evenings, and extracurricular activities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Religious Studies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment
