About Us: Pink Tile Education Agency specializes in providing educational staffing solutions to schools in Newhaven and the surrounding areas. We are currently seeking a dedicated General Cover Teacher/Cover Supervisor to support a secondary school in Newhaven on a temporary basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers seeking a more general position or aspiring educators with experience working with children and young people.

Position Overview: As a General Cover Teacher/Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the school by providing cover for absent teachers and supervising students during their lessons. This temporary position requires flexibility, adaptability, and a passion for supporting student learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons and activities to students in the absence of regular teachers.
• Supervise students during lessons, ensuring a positive learning environment and managing behavior effectively.
• Follow school policies and procedures to maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
• Provide support to students with their learning and offer assistance as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school staff to ensure continuity of learning in the absence of regular teachers.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified teachers seeking a more general role are encouraged to apply.
• Alternatively, aspiring teachers with a minimum of 6 weeks’ experience working with children and young people are welcome to apply.
• Experience working with large groups of students is preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and learning environments.
