SEMH Mathematics Teacher

Maths Teacher – Full-time – SEMH School – Near Brighton, Brighton & Hove, East Sussex. Start ASAP.

Our client is a Specialist SEND School catering for SEM, ASD and associated behaviour needs. An excellent training and support package will be available for the successful candidate though a good understanding & experience of working with ASD/SEMH &/or behaviour management is desirable.

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and inspirational individual to work with our Client, a great School with proven track records in achieving high standards of quality.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Planning & preparation of classroom materials
• Deliver Maths to small classes of KS2/3/4 attainment
• Work closely with pupils to support their learning & development
• Promote and enable social development opportunities
• Manage classroom behaviour
• The teacher will have shared lunches and will be required after school for responsibilities (safeguarding debriefs)

The successful candidate will need to have experience in the following areas:-

• Creative approaches to learning in SEND
• An understanding or experience of the use of interventions within a SEND setting
• Willingness to learn & adapt to challenging situations

The staff team are tight-knit, friendly and very supportive. The staff team work hard to achieve outstanding outcomes with their pupils. 

All candidates must be prepared to undertake a DBS check unless they have a current DBS on the update service.
