Job Title: After School Play Leader
 
Location: Chichester
Hours: Part-time, Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 6:15 PM (days to be agreed)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
 
About the Role:
 
A charming primary school nestled in the beautiful South Downs is launching an exciting new after school provision. We are seeking enthusiastic and confident individuals to join us as After School Play Leaders. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new venture and make a lasting impact on the lives of young children, where you can provide important after school care.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise a group of 16 children in various fun and engaging activities.
  • Follow the pre-planned activity schedule provided by the school, with the flexibility to introduce your own creative ideas over time.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times.
  • Prepare and serve snacks for the children.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment where children can thrive.
 
Requirements:
  • Clear experience working with children in settings such as childminding, nursery, schools, holiday clubs, or sports coaching.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage children in a variety of activities.
  • A proactive and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Due to the remote location of the school, having a car is advised as public transport is not suitable.
  • Pediatric First Aid (willingness to obtain this if not already, is required).
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety (willingness to obtain this if not already, is required).
  • A clear and current DBS
