The Role:

The school is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable ICT Teacher to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop their understanding of computing, digital skills, and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Teach a range of topics, including digital literacy, coding, networking, and cybersecurity
  • Support and challenge students to reach their full potential, adapting teaching strategies as needed
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and targeted support
  • Contribute to the development of the ICT curriculum and department initiatives
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, such as coding clubs, competitions, or STEM events

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience teaching ICT in a secondary school setting
  • Experience teaching across KS3, KS4, and KS5
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for technology and digital skills
  • An up-to-date DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • A commitment to inspiring students and fostering a love for ICT

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with GCSE and A-Level ICT or Computer Science delivery
  • Knowledge of different teaching strategies to engage a diverse range of learners
  • Familiarity with exam board specifications and assessment criteria
  • Ability to contribute to whole-school digital literacy and e-safety initiatives
