Salary: £20,635.45 per annum (FTE £23,216)
Contract Type: 1-year fixed-term contract with potential extension
Working Hours: 35 hours per week, 8:30am to 4:30pm
Working Period: 40 weeks per annum (term time plus up to one week during school closure)

As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll join a multidisciplinary team of teachers, therapists, and assistants. This rewarding role involves providing classroom support and helping pupils develop their communication, curriculum, social, and behavioural skills.
Collaborate with teachers and therapists to provide tailored support for children’s educational and social needs.
Assist in lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, providing one-on-one and group support.
Build positive relationships with pupils, promoting inclusive learning.
Support behaviour management using effective strategies.
Contribute to assessing pupils’ progress and adapting teaching approaches.
Use ICT and other tools to enhance learning.
Support school activities, such as swimming sessions, playtime, and off-site trips.
Participate in training and development opportunities, including safeguarding and classroom management.
Experience working with primary-age pupils, ideally in an SEN environment.
Strong communication and organisational skills, with a flexible and positive attitude.
Basic literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills (GCSE Grade C or equivalent).
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
