We are currently looking for compassionate, skilled Supply Teaching Assistants to work with young people of all ages with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).


 

Role Overview:
This is a flexible role where you will support students with varying additional needs in a classroom environment. As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work across a range of schools in this area, gaining experience in different educational settings and helping students reach their full potential.


 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEND in their learning, social development, and personal care as required
  • Assist teachers with classroom management and lesson delivery
  • Adapt and modify learning resources to meet individual students’ needs
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students
  • Help monitor and record student progress, and communicate updates with teaching staff
  • Work collaboratively with school staff and parents to provide holistic support for students

 

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND in an educational or care setting (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students
  • Adaptable and patient, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
