KS2 Teacher

Position: Year 5 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Start Date: Monday, 4th November
Contract Duration: Maternity cover (end date to be confirmed)
Location: Crawley
Hours: Full-time

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 teacher to join our welcoming school in Crawley on a temporary maternity cover basis. This is a full-time position, starting on Monday, 4th November. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education, including planning and preparing lessons, and supporting students in their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 5 curriculum, catering to the diverse needs of all learners.
• Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and ensuring continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the broader development of the school and participate in school-wide initiatives.
• Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Engage with parents, carers, and the wider school community through parents’ evenings and other events.

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Key Stage 2 (preferably Year 5).
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Safeguarding Requirement:

A DBS check is required for this role. Candidates must either have an up-to-date DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one.
