Are you a passionate Geography teacher with a talent for bringing the world to life in the classroom? We are seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher to join our team at a dynamic all-through school in Eastbourne, East Sussex.

The Role

We are looking for an inspiring teacher to:

  • Deliver engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages, instilling a love for the subject in students aged 11–19.
  • Plan and implement a challenging and inclusive curriculum that covers physical and human geography topics.
  • Use effective assessment techniques to monitor and support student progress.
  • Foster critical thinking and an understanding of global and local issues among learners.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that motivates students to achieve their best.
  • Contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum and support department initiatives.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and be qualified to teach Geography at KS3, KS4, and ideally KS5.
  • Be registered on the DBS Update Service with an enhanced disclosure certificate.
  • Have up-to-date safeguarding training and a strong understanding of child protection policies.
  • Demonstrate a passion for Geography and the ability to make lessons engaging and relevant.
  • Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Be committed to professional development and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
