Cover Supervisor

A wonderful school in Newhaven is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to support our students’ learning by overseeing classes during teacher absences. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident individual who is passionate about education and enjoys working with young people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes during planned or unplanned teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task with their learning.
• Follow the provided lesson plans and ensure the classroom remains orderly and focused.
• Support students’ learning and respond to questions within the framework of the lesson.
• Uphold the academy’s behavior and safeguarding policies.

Essential Requirements:

• A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
• Recent Safeguarding Training (completed within the last two years).
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Prior experience in an educational setting is preferred but not essential.
