We are looking for enthusiastic and resilient individuals to join our school in Horsham as a SEND Teaching Assistant. This is an incredible opportunity to support students in re-engaging with education, building confidence, and fostering self-esteem in a safe and supportive environment.
Position: SEND Teaching Assistant
Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday (Term time only)
Salary: £98 – £130 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Horsham
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with our experienced teaching team to:
Provide tailored support to primary and secondary-aged pupils with SEMH challenges and additional needs.
Help students reengage with their education and overcome barriers to learning.
Foster confidence, self-esteem, and emotional well-being.
Implement positive behaviour management strategies to create a calm and nurturing environment.
Assist students during lessons, interventions, and activities to ensure they feel safe and supported.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to provide holistic care and education.
We’re seeking individuals with the following qualities and experience:
Personal or professional experience working with SEMH needs, whether through work, volunteering, or supporting family members.
A passion for supporting young people to thrive academically and personally.
Resilience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
Strong communication and de-escalation skills to support students with challenging behaviours.
A proactive and flexible approach to adapting to students’ individual needs.
Interest or studies in psychology, education, or related fields (advantageous but not essential).
Make a Difference: Help students reengage with their education and develop the confidence and skills they need to succeed.

To be successful in this role, you must:
Be eligible to work in the UK or hold a relevant work visa.
