About Us Apply Now
Job Title: SEND Teacher
Location: Horsham
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: up to £42,000

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teacher to join our team, supporting students aged 5-18 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and other Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will help students overcome barriers to learning and guide them toward academic success. Experience with SEMH is a plus, but not required. If you’re passionate about making a difference, we’d love to hear from you! How would you like to be paid for five days but only work four? You’ll enjoy more personal time while earning a full salary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching: Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEN and SEMH.
  • Individual Support: Adapt lessons to ensure every student can access the curriculum, building their confidence and supporting their learning styles.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive learning environment using effective behaviour management strategies to help students manage their emotions and behaviours.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track student progress, providing regular feedback to support their academic and personal development.
  • Collaborative Approach: Work closely with teaching assistants, SEN specialists, and pastoral staff to provide holistic support for each student.
  • Student Engagement: Inspire and motivate students to actively participate in lessons, express themselves, and develop their confidence and skills.
Important Notice: For you to be successful in applying for the above position you should be eligible to work in the UK or hold a relevant work visa. Safeguarding, quality and integrity are at the heart of what we do. Pink Tile is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within education. During the application process, you will be required to:
– Provide details for us to complete reference checks prior to employment.
– Provide an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one (which Pink Tile can assist with).
Pink Tile Education, their schools and candidates all share the view of “Best Fit, Every Time” and our role is to ensure that every candidate we place has a positive impact on the team of their new employers.
We have a policy, as a matter of courtesy, to respond to all applications within three working days. However, because of the volume of applications, we sometimes cannot reply to individual enquiries. If we have not contacted you within this specified time, your application may have been unsuccessful on this specific occasion, but we encourage you to apply for positions that you may see in the future. Alternatively, please check missed calls and all your email folders as it may have been that we have tried to reach you. Thank you.
