UQT Geography Teacher

Are you passionate about geography and inspiring young minds? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to teach geography at a secondary school in Hastings. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who may not hold formal teaching qualifications but has the drive and skills to engage students and make a difference in their education.

About the Role:
As an unqualified Geography Teacher, you’ll:

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons to students aged 11-16.
• Inspire curiosity and a love for geography through creative and interactive teaching approaches.
• Support students’ academic progress and help them achieve their potential.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Follow the curriculum and contribute to the school’s commitment to academic excellence.

What You’ll Need:

• A strong understanding of geography and the ability to teach it with confidence.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for education.
• A DBS certificate on the update service or be prepared to obtain one (this is essential).
• Experience working with young people or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
