Job Title: Key Stage 1 Teacher
Hours: Full-time

A primary school in Brighton is seeking a Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team. This position requires a teacher who can confidently deliver engaging lessons and support the progress of pupils in Years 1 and 2. You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and assessing learning activities to ensure pupils are challenged appropriately and given every opportunity to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with the Key Stage 1 curriculum, adapting to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Assess pupil progress, providing feedback and setting achievable targets.
  • Promote a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and progress.
  • Liaise with senior staff and parents to maintain strong communication about pupil development.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, supporting extra-curricular activities or school initiatives as needed.

Essential Experience/Attributes:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience or training relevant to teaching Key Stage 1 pupils.
  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work within a team.
  • A DBS check registered on the update service or a willingness to obtain one.
