SEMH Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Chichester.

About the Role:
As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, helping them engage positively in their learning.
• Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
• Support students one-on-one or in small groups, fostering their emotional well-being and confidence.
• Collaborate with staff to implement strategies that promote positive behavior and learning outcomes.

Key Details:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Pay: £84 per day
• Location: Chichester

Requirements:

• A valid DBS on the update service.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training.
• Ideally, a minimum of 2 months’ experience working with SEMH learners or in a similar role.
• Patience, resilience, and a genuine desire to support students with additional needs.
