Head of Geography

Are you an experienced and passionate Geography teacher ready to take the next step in your career? This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic and forward-thinking Geography department at a highly regarded secondary school in Hove.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Head of Geography who is ready to inspire both students and colleagues. This is a full-time position on a 1-year contract, starting in February 2025. You will lead a team of dedicated teachers, develop engaging curriculums, and ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning across the department.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Proven experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
• Leadership experience or the ability to take on departmental responsibilities.
• Up-to-date DBS on the Update Service.
• Recent safeguarding training.
• A strong commitment to inspiring students and promoting a love of Geography.
